When I first got into taping, DAT was the holy grail of recording formats. It was portable, high quality, and had great expandability on most recorders available. Now, with hard disk/flash recording becoming the standard, DAT is a dying breed.
Check out the new guide to all that is DAT. You'll learn a couple things about this very important (but quickly dying) format. It'll help you make a better decision before jumping in to buy a DAT deck for your studio or taping rig. Enjoy!
