There's a lot of really great mics out there for those of us on a budget; in fact, it's never been a better time to be a recording engineer watching their pennies!But let's talk in hypotheticals; given an unlimited buget, what mics would you buy? I've compiled my list of Top 5 Mics at Any Price -- a fun look at some of the high-priced yet beautiful-sounding mics out there. Enjoy!

Nice list! If I had my pick of 2, I’d probably take the DPAs and the Neumann, but they’re all tempting.
I totally understand. I love the DPA sound; if I recorded more classical work, I’d use nothing but DPA and Earthworks. That Neumann Solution D is pretty nice, too.
