Your Favorite A/D Converter?

Wednesday December 10, 2008
With digital media production becoming increasingly high resolution, it's become very important to have top-quality A/D conversion at your fingertips in your studio. So, what's your favorite A/D converter you use regularly?

I've become very partial to conversion from Apogee; it sounds great, and is relatively affordable for two channels. I'm also a fan of the inexpensive converters from Edirol, like the UA-5. So for those using A/D converters, what are you using? Leave a comment, and your suggestions will be featured in an upcoming guide to A/D conversion!

All great suggestions! Blair, I’m a big fan of the Emm Labs stuff — the ADC8 is just phenomenal. I’ve also used their audiophile-grade DAC in my listening system and been amazed at the detail it renders.
