Heil Sound introduces PR48 Kick Drum Microphone, PR28 Drum Microphone

Heil Sound, Ltd. has proudly announced availability of their new drum microphones -- the PR48 kick drum microphone, and PR28 drum microphone.
As reviewed here, the Heil microphone line is well-known for high quality and affordable pricing.
The PR48 -- based on the PR40 -- is suited best for kick drums and bass instruments, while the PR28 -- based on the PR20 -- is ideal for toms (and it includes a very nice quality microphone clamp). Pricing is $239 for PR48, $139 for PR28, and both are available now through select retailers.

The Heil Sound PR 48 has very little in common with the PR 40 except that both are used on kick drums. The 48 is its own “beast” and has been developed specifically for kick use whereas the 40 can be found on all sorts of applications.
