In a highly anticipated move, Digidesign has announced the availability of the Pro Tools 8.01 update.
While it takes care several important driver and stability issues, one feature is noticeably missing: support for OS X Snow Leopard.
It's common knowledge that most audio engineers are on Macs, so it should go without saying Snow Leopard support would be widely appreciated.
Until the next update comes along, Pro Tools 8.0 and above will be compatible with Windows XP or Mac OS X up to 10.5.
