The highest number of exhibitors in NAMM show history - 1,535 - have set up shop in the massive Anaheim convention center. Not open to the public, the pre-show registration numbers show that this year could be a record for attendance, beating last year's 81,315 attendees who came to check out the latest products, and attend the valuable professional development sessions. The NAMM Mission
"Making music has never been more popular ,and our show numbers continue to reflect that trend," said Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. NAMM is a not-for-profit association that unites, leads and strengthens the $17 billion international musical instruments and products industry.NAMM's activities and programs promote music making to people of all demographics. Comprised of over 9,000 member companies encompassing all aspects of the music industry from instruments, pro audio, lighting, and accessories, Carlsbad, CA-based NAMM's mission is to increase active participation in music making through a strong industry surrounding it. Says Lamond, "NAMM is committed to its members in the music products industry to not only provide a high-profile event to promote their products, but also offer education and insights into the industry to help manufacturers, retailers, and representatives steer their businesses in a positive direction for the coming year."
