Auxiliary (Aux) Send

Definition: An auxiliary -- or aux -- send is a separate send on either a mixer, recording interface, or recording software that allows a separate signal of an individual channel to be sent to a separate output. Monitors are commonly mixed from aux sends in live sound, and effects are generally triggered by aux sends.
