What Are the Details of Your Studio?
My home recording studio is located in Windsor, FL. I have a spare bedroom that acts as an office/music studio/storage room. It's not the most amazing acoustic setup...I just have a room to do what I need to do. When acoustical problems become an issue that I'm actually hearing, I will have the need to do something about it. Same thing with equipment...as I find something out there that I think will improve my sound, I try to upgrade if I can. For example, I knew my mic was on the low end so I recently upgraded to a better one.

Tips and Tricks
- I think the most important thing is to continually educate yourself on what others are doing to get the best sound in home recording...and not only home recording, but also how the pros do it.
- I really like Magix products. I use Samplitude. The software is intuitive and powerful.
- If you're starting out, especially if you are on a budget, start small...don't go buy the latest and greatest expensive equipment. For one thing, in the music world, most expensive doesn't always mean best. Once you get your basic equipment you can start recording and as you learn more, you can upgrade as you feel necessary.
